Anindya Ghosh Roy

 

Anindya Ghosh Roy is the newest employee at the MPL department. His passion for Life sciences has brought him to Europe from India. After obtaining master’s degrees in Microbiology (India) and Molecular Biology (Sweden), he is currently going to finish his PhD thesis at the prestigious Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich. He has complemented and proven his interest in the field through multiple internships and a short stint as an analyst in pharmaceutical consulting.

“My time in the laboratory during my masters and doctoral studies gave me in-depth knowledge of various analytical methods. Additionally, my understanding of the pharmaceutical industry through my consulting experience and my solution-oriented approach allows me to identify GMP issues and solve them in the best possible way”.

Anindya has more than 8 years of experience in academic research, especially in the fields of Structural Biology and Protein Biochemistry. He is specialist in chromatographic techniques (ÄKTA systems) and Cryo-Electron Microscopy but also has profound knowledge of various quantitative and qualitative biochemical and molecular biology methods.

In his free time, Anindya likes to work on creative projects. In 2016, Elsevier has awarded his design for a 100% bio-degradable water filter as one of the top 5 ideas in the world for the innovative green and sustainable chemistry proposals to be applied in the developing world.
