Loesungsfabrik in times of Corona

Written by Dr. Janet Thode Posted in Think out of the box

What has changed at the Loesungsfabrik due to the current COVID-19 pandemic?

Nothing ... as far as ... nothing at all.

Well, not totally, but almost.

When I think about my clients, with whom I’ve worked for a long time, there is only one where I’ve been regularly on site. Of course, in the current situation, this is no longer the case, but daily work is still unimpaired possible also in home office and the cooperation is impressive, especially in these times. Regarding all other clients, I have always been able to serve them remotely in the past across countries or even across continents. Working in international projects with globally interacting companies has -of course - the advantage that I had the chance to use tools for online meetings such as Microsoft Teams, Webex or Google Meet or shared data platforms since a long time, and that I was also able to gain experience in the field of "communication over distance". Of course, there is a little difference between doing things via email or video conferencing versus sitting face to face at the same table.

There were no special technical challenges for us due to the increased use of home office here at Loesungsfabrik, because we already used our company offices including the appropriate IT equipment to a great extent. And it was also easy to comply with the distance rules, since our shared office is used by two people from the same household and our employee has her own room. Only the conference room has felt a little neglected lately... On the other side, the office balcony was able to enjoy increased use, because on particularly nice days I simply relocated my work to the outside under a large parasol including garden view...

I am particularly pleased to be able to work with a wide variety of clients even in these times of the COVID-19 pandemic and to be involved in very different projects. Currently, this encompasses e.g. documentation in the field of robotics, implementation of a new measuring system for clean room determinations, creation of English translations of work instructions for laboratory methods, review of method validation plans and reports and the support of an international method transfer as contact person for all arising QC questions. This diversity makes my work so varied and exciting and allows me at the same time to familiarize myself with new topics in addition to my usual terrain. It is infinitely fun to be involved in long-term projects as well as to have the chance to process very small tasks - quasi in between - in a goal-oriented, fast and consistent manner.

And if you are also interested in our services, then feel free to contact me - also impersonally - by email, the contact form or by phone. Together we’ll find a solution!
